Recent fervent barroom talk with different individuals on separate occasions revolved around much nostalgic discussion of this Sister-Lovers-era solo gem. Hard to find, of great renown. Sad and Bad.

I was looking for my cassette of this last week hoping to post. No damn luck... My brain always made this connection btwn this and Royal Trux S/T & Twin Infinitives.

Sure like me some Big Star and have found much Stuff from Alex to be good (For Instance "Stuff" - try the Feudalist Tarts EP and No Sex if you can find them). But, what a drop in quality. Comparable only to Rod Stewart - from the highest heights to the most mediocre of mediocrities.

Um. I realize this comment is a little late in the discussion but, I have been digging yer back pages lately...
