Great point anajonda...I remember when this happened and being absolutely sickened to my stomach by these comments. I never liked Clapton before this (cause he was always rude and evasive with the press and he's the most over-rated guitar player that ever was...technically sound but totally sterile and unemotional guitarist. Clapton at his best could never equal a Paul Kossoff (Free) at his worst!)Peter Green made "Slowhand" (or should I say "slowbrain") look like a rank amateur! Ever since these repulsive comments and his support for the National Front those years, I will have nothing toi do with his music at all...if I hear "Layla" (great song)on the radio I have to turn it off. Too bad Mark Chapman didn't obsess on EC rather than Lennon!
