Trout Mask Replica gets plenty of admiration (it's deserved, but maybe it gets too much). That said, Decals is easily as good as Trout Mask, if not slightly better. It's not quite as strange because there's not as huge a jump from Mask to Decals as there had been from Strictly Impersonal to Trout Mask. However, it is a good deal more accessable.
